Adjunct EMDR Therapy
in central new jersey & ONLINE throughout MAINE, massachusetts, New jersey, & florida.
Have you been in ongoing talk therapy for a while and keep getting stuck around a certain issue or past experience?
There is deep importance in the connection & relationship established between clients & long-term talk therapists. EMDR does not need to replace or interrupt the flow of long-term talk therapy, but can instead supplement and enrich the progress you’re already making with specific & focused work. When offering adjunct EMDR/IFS, I collaborate closely with the client & the primary therapist (after signing a release) to come up with a focused plan of care.
Sometimes clients work with both therapists in parallel & other times, clients take a brief break from talk therapy as they engage in EMDR work. Once we have met treatment goal(s), the clients will return to working exclusively with their talk therapist.
I offer adjunct EMDR/IFS work in an Intensive format so you don’t have to commit to another weekly appointment.
Therapeutic modalities & theories I weave in with EMDR include:
Internal Family Systems (IFS), Ego State Work, Relational Therapy, Attachment Theory, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory & Liberation Health Framework
