  • I am accepting new clients intensive EMDR/IFS work in late Summer & early Fall of 2024.

In order to help meet the current demand for EMDR/IFS therapies, I only offer focused Intensive EMDR/IFS work & am no longer taking on new clients for long-term talk/support therapy.

  • Yes! I love offering adjunct EMDR & IFS work to individuals who have a long-term relationship with another therapist. In these cases, I like to partner and collaborate with your primary therapist (after you sign a release) as we create your treatment goals.

EMDR in the intensive format is an especially great option for Adjunct work so that you don’t have to commit to more weekly appointments.

Adjunct EMDR does not replace or interrupt the flow of long-term talk therapy, rather it supplements and enriches the progress you’re already making with specific focused work.

  • My fees for Intensives are $225/hour for weekday (Wed-Fri) sessions & $250/hour for weekend (Sat & Sun) sessions.

Packages for retreat-style intensive work begin at $1350 and are customized based on your needs.

  • Insurance can be used to cover the cost of 1 hour intake & follow-up sessions.

I am currently in-network with United & most Point32 Plans for Massachusetts-based residents. I also am an approved provider for Victim’s Compensation.

In some cases, insurance may be able to cover the first hour of intensive EMDR sessions. However because most insurance companies operate in the "therapy hour" model, there are often limitations to coverage of Intensive work at this time.

If I am not in-network with your insurance & you have out of network benefits, I am happy to set you up with Thrizer, which will help you get reimbursed quickly.

  • I offer a short-term 12-hour sliding scale intensive program (generally split up into 4 x 3 hour sessions) for clients who would not otherwise be able to access or afford Intensive EMDR/IFS therapy. I use the Green Bottle Method to determine sliding scale.

My sliding scale program currently has a waitlist. Openpath is another great resource to find sliding scale providers.

  • If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me within the appropriate timeframe for the service (as noted below), or if you cancel your appointment without giving me adequate notice (see below), you will be required to pay $150/hour booked.

    I require 48-hour notice for 60-minute appointments.

I require 7-day notice for half-day EMDR Intensives.

  • Through May of 2024, I will continue to offer in-person sessions in my office in Spotswood NJ. In Summer 2024, my business will be moving north to Bangor, Maine, where I plan to open an office for in-person intensives.

One of the wonderful gifts of the Intensive EMDR model is the greater flexibility for clients who may live farther away. Some of my clients choose to travel to my office once a month or for a Retreat-Style Intensive from other parts of the state or country.

  • Yes- in fact, the majority of my clients prefer to be seen via telehealth for the flexibility it allows and the time it saves in not needing to commute to an appointment each week. I use a specialized EMDR telehealth platform called Bilateral Base that offers integrated bilateral stimulation (visual & audio) into the telehealth experience . I also teach self-tapping & in some cases will recommend places to purchase tappers for tactile stimulation.

  • Getting Past Your Past by Francine Shapiro is a great book written specifically for clients wanting to learn more about EMDR. I’d also highly recommend Kambria Evan’s Why EMDR Works Podcast Series to understand how EMDR can be helpful for different needs.

Here are some links for EMDR FAQs & an overview of research about EMDR.

In addition, as we’re engaging in the preparation stage of EMDR, I’ll offer psycho-education and answer any questions you have about the process.

  • Contact me here to set-up a free 15-minute consultation call so that I can get a sense of what you’re looking for, you can ask me any lingering questions, and we can together determine whether Intensive EMDR therapy might be a good fit for you.
